Japan Disaster Relief-

Just a month ago, on Friday, March 11, 2011, Japan experienced a catastrophic 9.0 magnitude earthquake, which spawned a deadly tsunami and subsequent nuclear power-plant crisis along the northeast coast of the country. According to estimates from news reports and official sources, the number of dead from the tragedy stands at some 25,000, while thousands remain unaccounted for. Also, thousands remain in shelters, and property damage and economic losses caused by the triple disaster may exceed $300 billion.

Please continue to pray for the people of Japan. While the disaster may have slipped from the headlines, the needs of the people continue, and the aftereffects will be long-lasting.
